By creating an account or using Writer Network ("Service", "Platform", "we", "us"), you ("User", "you") agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
2. Service Description
Writer Network is a marketplace platform that connects writers and editors with clients seeking content creation and editing services. Our platform facilitates:
- Matching qualified writers and editors with appropriate projects
- Secure payment processing and escrow services
- Project management and communication tools
- Quality assurance and dispute resolution
- Performance tracking and earnings analytics
3. User Accounts and Eligibility
3.1 Account Creation
To use our Service, you must create an account by providing accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
3.2 Eligibility Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into contracts
- You must not be prohibited from using our services under applicable law
- You must provide valid identification when requested
4. Payment Terms
4.1 Writer/Editor Payments
- Payments are processed bi-weekly via PayPal or Stripe
- Minimum payout threshold may apply as specified in your dashboard
- Platform fees are deducted from gross earnings as disclosed
- Tax reporting responsibilities remain with the individual
4.2 Escrow and Payment Protection
Client payments are held in escrow until project completion and approval. This protects both parties and ensures fair compensation for completed work.
5. User Conduct and Responsibilities
5.1 Prohibited Activities
Users may not:
- Submit plagiarized or copyrighted content without permission
- Engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices
- Attempt to circumvent platform fees or payment systems
- Harass, abuse, or discriminate against other users
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Share account credentials or create multiple accounts
5.2 Content Standards
All content must be original, accurate, and appropriate. We reserve the right to review and remove content that violates our standards or applicable laws.
6. Intellectual Property
Writers retain ownership of their original work until payment is completed by the client. Upon full payment, rights transfer to the client as specified in the project agreement. Writer Network retains the right to use anonymized work samples for platform promotion.
7. Limitation of Liability
Writer Network provides the platform "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount of fees paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate their account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, you remain liable for any outstanding obligations, and we will process final payments according to our standard schedule.
